Mustiala is an environment with a long history, but it is also a modern educational institution. Mustiala boasts 175 years of continuous learning.
The education is organized by Häme Vocational Institute (Hami) and Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK).
Mustiala is HAMK’s oldest campus, and about 400 students study there. They graduate as Agrologists of Rural Industries. Hami, on the other hand, teaches a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and beekeeping.
The teaching farm has 185 hectares of arable land and grows a variety of cereals, legumes and grass. Production is moving to organic.
The new teaching cowshed was completed in 2015.
Education and research is practiced in cooperation with Luke (Natural Resources Institute Finland).
